Army Command

The Army is the backbone of the Rebel Alliance. They do the dirty work of the Alliance; they get close to our enemy to kill them. The Army go by the mentality: One for all, all for one, that means that they are always there for each other.

There are several things one can do in the Army. There is a broad variety of assignments:

Infantry:
This is the basic unit of the Army, a soldier set out to kill the enemy with a Blaster. The Infantry Branch is divided in two parts: Normal- and Heavy Infantry. The Normal Infantry is an ordinary Soldier with his equipment armour and Blaster, they are the general Army members. Heavy Infantry is a foot soldier too but with heavier armour along with a bigger and heavier weapon, a so-called support weapon.

Mechanised:
This is the heavy ground force, they operate in armoured vehicles with heavy weapons. They are set out to terminate both enemy vehicles and Infantry units. They are often used as a support to the Infantry and units are made up from both Infantry and Mechanised officers.

Air Support:
The air supports objective is to escort the Division while travelling, to clear a path for the Division to land on the planet or clear a path to the space station or ship and to support the ground forces while fighting on the planets. The Air Support uses both Fighters and Speeders depending on where the officer got the most skills. Speeder Air Support only supports the ground forces on planets while the fighter Air Support officers do the escorting and path clearing too.

Logistics:
The Logistics objective is to ensure that all non-hyper capable support craft and personnel are carried safely to the target system/planet/station. Logistics use capital ships with docking bays for ships and hangers for vehicles. Also a good hyper space speed is preferred as the Army must be very quick and mobile to respond to any situation. In some situations Logistics may be called upon for air support in space or planetary situations.

Medical:
This is the ordinary medic. All Medics that serve in the Army will be Division Doctors. This means that they are stationed on one of the many Divisions and their main concern is treating the Army officers in the Division they are stationed on. Of course they will sometimes help other Divisions in a joint Division operation. The Division Doctor is either positioned on the main Capital ship of the Division or on the ground behind friendly lines in a field hospital.
